Ginger was a young woman who always dreamed to fly but the closest she got at first was a waitress at the airport diner.  However, as the series evolved she participated in many adventures. At first as more of a clutz then eventually flying and having heroic adventures during the world war 2 era. 

This is a collection of her appearances in the years from the Stories taken from Jumbo Comics starting with issue #68. Famous for Matt Baker art! Ginger Maguire, nicknamed Sky Girl, was the star of several World War II aviation adventures. She was constantly in search of a husband as well as a career in aviation. She eventually managed to get a job ferrying military equipment around the Pacific. Post-war, Sky Girl got a job as a waitress at an airport cafe and dyed her hair blond but still continued to have aerial adventures. She had no superpowers, but she could fly a plane...just not very well. She often crashed planes and caused property damage.

Sky Girl like many Golden age comic book heroes often had six to seven-page adventures in a particular comic book. This was a common practice in the earlier years of comics, versus the modern approach of a character having the whole book titled after them.
