When Saxton Pope learned of this, driven by his love of archery, he found Ishi and became friends.  He documented the heritage of bow making, archery, and tools as well as hunting skills that Ishi used to survive. This book reveals that friendship as well as many hunts with Saxton's companions as well.  This is not only a must-read for archery but a historical masterpiece.  This book is made with jump chapter selections as well as having over 45 old photos of Saxton, Ishi, Legendary archer Art Young ( pope and young) and more!
