Rival newspaper reporters and Ted Rand (Talbot) Pat Morgan (Rogers)  have to team up in solving the mysterious death of a millionaire philanthropist who fell from his penthouse balcony. These two reporters soon discover that the fall was not an accident, and everyone becomes a suspect as they try to solve the case. As the investigation continues three more people turn up dead in this classic who did it movie mystery unfolds.
